Surconic Records is a new audiophile label founded by 13-time Latin Grammy–nominated producer and engineer Carlos Castro of Los Angeles, California.

Our debut release features the extraordinary vocalist Elyan, an accomplished artist with a long-standing presence in Latin music. Her new album sets the benchmark for the musical and sonic standards Surconic aims to deliver in future releases.
Elyan's distinctive voice and expressive depth convey an emotional resonance that moves listeners beyond the boundaries of language — a debut conceived not as a product, but as a portrait.
The album was recorded and mixed using a Studer A-827 2-inch 16-track tape machine and a 3M M-79 ¼-inch 2-track tape machine — both running at 30 IPS without any noise reduction. It was expertly mastered by Scott Sedillo at Bernie Grundman Mastering, preserving the integrity and fidelity of the music through to the final stage.
Surconic makes extensive use of Watersound Studios, a state-of-the-art analog-based recording and mixing facility where Carlos Castro is based. The studio features primarily custom and one-of-a-kind audio equipment, meticulously modified over the years to maximize sonic fidelity across every project.
